Week 30
Although to you it may seem like a long time from now until your baby is born, final arrangements for birth are underway throughout her body. Red blood cells are now being produced entirely in the marrow of her calcium-reinforced bones. Lanugo, the fine hairs that have covered her body, is starting to disappear. Her head hair is beginning to appear.
Baby is growing by leaps and bounds and may measure about 11" (28 cm) long from crown to rump and weigh around 3 lbs, 12 oz (1,700 g). With so much growth, space is becoming limited in the uterus, and your baby is pulling her little legs more and more into what is known as the fetal position. Her toenails are now formed.
